Visit Rabat
- Rabat is the administrative capital of Morocco and is one of the imperial cities. It is located on the left bank of the Bou Regreg river with a temperate climate. Rabat's exceptional antique character can be seen through a few historical monuments:
- Tour Hassan : a 21 nave plane and 200 marble columns and 3 rectangular courts. Its building was the works of the Almohad Yacoub Al Mansour and was stopped in 1119 at the death of its founder.
- Chella : huge necropolis on the left bank of the Bou Regreg, its is settled in the place of the ancient roman city Sala. The big Chella door was the works of Abou Hassan in 1329.
- Mohammed V Mausoleum : Sculpted bronze, wood, marble and plaster are the main materials decorating this prestigious edifice.
- Oudayas Museum: old Moulay Ismail residence, it exhibits representative samples of traditional arts from all regions of Morocco.
- The Bab Rouah Door: a masterpiece of the Almohades art.
- Souks : Souks (Sebat, El Ghzel, les bazaars…) and their narrow alleys are conspicuous for their activity and their animation.
